2012 True Myth Chardonnay
Edna Valley, San Luis Obispo, California
Why we chose this wine for Purple Bottle Club:
“Chardonnay. It often inspires strong feelings from wine drinkers. I have friends that exclusively drink it, their love for the grape and the different methods of production does not falter - some are into butter or oak or the perfect balance of both. True Myth however seeks and succeeds in pulling out the clean essence of what a fantastic Chardonnay should be – no surprise it comes from the California motherland of Chard, Edna Valley. This is its maiden production by an established wine family, The Nivens, with a forward thinking sustainable mission; True Myth has become a go to white for me and my die-hard Chardonnay loving friends.”

What is Purple Bottle Club?
We are simply a wine club. But, of course, a little different from most clubs you will encounter. We are not a winery, rather we are a collective of wine enthusiasts, bloggers, and Sommeliers. We don't strive to find you the cheapest wines, there are discount clubs and warehouses for that. We do strive to bring you magnificent small batch eco-friendly wines by renowned and up and coming wine makers that do happen to be at incredible prices. We offer wine that is hard to find, a little off the beaten path. We want to introduce you to something new. We promise that every bottle is palate pleasing. After all there are so many enigmatic wines being produced in this golden age of the grape, why drink the same wine when you could try different ones monthly?
Every month we feature five incredible wines. You can mix and match, choose the number sent to your door, or leave it up to the Wine Directors!
